Common questions

Straight answers.

What counts as a "developer"?
Any person who authored a commit or opened a PR against a repo Cinnamon watches in the last 30 days. Bots don't count. Passive observers (product managers, designers looking at CI results) don't count. You pay for people who push code.
Do you require a self-hosted deployment for private repos?
No. Cinnamon connects via read-only OAuth with your organisation's permission. We read pipeline metadata and logs. Source code stays in your repos. If you require self-hosted deployment, the Enterprise tier supports it.
What data do you store?
Pipeline run metadata (job names, durations, statuses), test results (names, pass/fail), the last 512 KB of failure logs per job, and cost metadata. We do not store source code, PR bodies, or files from your repository. Full detail in the privacy policy.
Can I self-host Cinnamon?
Yes, on the Enterprise plan. Docker Compose or Kubernetes Helm chart supported. Onboarding is typically a 90-minute call with our team plus a week of your infrastructure team's time.
How is this different from Datadog CI Visibility?
Datadog is a general observability platform with CI visibility as one product. Cinnamon does one specific thing — CI observability — and does it more deeply. If you're already fully deployed on Datadog and it works for you, stay there. If you're not, or Datadog's CI product isn't giving you the depth you need, Cinnamon is worth the trial.
What happens if we stop paying?
Workspace drops to read-only for 60 days. Full data export (JSON) available at any time. After 60 days, permanent deletion.
